Exceptional Senior Living Opens Short-Term Rehab Unit
Exceptional Senior Living, a licensed personal care and memory care community, has temporary added a short-term rehab unit on their campus. Located in Prospect, Exceptional Senior Living will offer Medicare certified short-term rehab stays in a comfortable, home-like environment.

“Exceptional Senior Living is excited to have the opportunity to provide rehab services on our campus,” said Executive Director, Lisa Gann. “We are now able to offer all the services of a rehab unit with the comfort and luxury of a residential setting.”
A section of the space dedicated to short-term rehab is a designated memory care unit, so patients with dementia or other forms of memory loss can be in a safe and secure environment while receiving rehab services.

The unit was established as part of a program to add more skilled beds throughout Kentucky during the state-of-emergency. If the current state-of-emergency is not extended past August 31, the unit will transition back to licensed personal care apartments. In the meantime, Exceptional Senior Living will offer a unique opportunity for rehab patients to receive their treatments in a personal care setting.
“Because our facility was built for a residential setting, we offer amenities that traditional rehab centers typically do not, such as home-cooked meals, private rooms and a large screened in patio,” said Gann. “Our community is less than three years’ old and is a beautiful and comfortable place to rest and recover.
